The dream is this...the
Judki move to Utah for ONE year
and one year only, hoping to have an epic ski year with feet upon feet of snow
in the beautiful Wasatch mountains. The reality is this...no snow!
Our passes are bought, Tim's new skis are mounted, and the mini one has a
fancy patagucci fleece jacket (bought on killer sale at the Patagonia outlet).
The only problem is no snow.
As the infamous Salt Lake
City inversion settled down on us last week, we thought it might dump--has something
to do with barometers, low pressure, and the inability to breathe--but no luck.
Snowbird got two inches and that was after generous reporting. Our
neighbors have already been up 4 or 5 times, but Tim and I can't bring
ourselves to bust out the rock skis for a few icy, boulder-filled runs.
As lowly Coloradans, even we have our standards. Since we are off
to Houston for Maria
Belen's wedding this weekend, it is sure to dump feet and feet of the precious
fluffy white stuff...dream on.
